Dr. Mkhoi L Mkhoi is a medical doctor, trained in Clinical Microbiology and Immunology. He currently works as faculty at the University of Dodoma and is a Chief Microbiologist at Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma, Tanzania. Over the years he has built strong and extensive national-based networks with clinical laboratories and has participated in the orchestrating capacity building efforts and developing daily operations of clinical microbiology units at both Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH) and Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital (DRRH), two major public referral hospitals serving majority of the population in central Tanzania.
His interests and areas of extensive expertise are focused on antimicrobial drug resistance, HIV, immunological, microbiological, and molecular diagnostics, immunopathogenic mechanisms of Infectious diseases. Additional areas of interest include laboratory medicine, hospital infections epidemiology and medical education.
